From the CEC Smart Brief:
According a study from Case Western Reserve University, "responsive teaching" strategies improved parents' responsiveness to their children with pervasive developmental disorders and resulted in a 60% improvement to the children's rate of cognitive development, as well as a 150% increase in the rate of their language development. Furthermore, the gains were achieved at an annual cost of $5,000, far below the yearly price tag for most existing interventions. MedicalNewsToday (U.K.) (4/12)
