The "sol" will shine brighter today...with you!
.
.
Do you like my new header? That's one of the best birthday gifts I got, thanks to Jeff of Dubai Chronicles for going out of his way to do this for me. And here's another special gift that I received from our future medical doctor blogger friend NIKKI...
.
.
**********
.
.

Thank you for letting me know that I made a difference in your blogging life. keep writing, I will keep reading. Thank you for this special gift from you.
God bless you. thanks for being my blog-mate and for always taking time out to drop me a line or comment on my entries! all the best!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY MARISOL!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!! BECAUSE JUNE 30 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY, WE HAVE LOTS OF LOVE TO SEND TO HAVE VERY SPECIAL FRIEND WHO ALWAYS MAKES US PROUD!!!!!

oh... my... this is it! HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of the beloved in the blogosphere!
ReplyDeletei'll sing a song -
happy bday to you! (2x) happy bday, happy bday, happy day to you!
Happy Happy Birthday Teacher Sol...
ReplyDeleteTeacher Sol, munting handog sa kaarawan mo
ReplyDeleteNang isilang ka a mundong ito
Have a blessed birthday!
Happy Bday Teacher Sol!
ReplyDeletetulad ng sabi ng isang naging estudyante ko: "smile so your happy will be good!" haberdi!
ISABELA, girl, nakakatuwa ang version mo ng kantang ito...only for me ha...hehehe.
Not a soul told me what pregnancy would bring. It brought all these unexplainable emotions and mood swings. I couldn’t forget one time when I was salivating and was badly craving to have a taste of a ripe mango. So I asked Reiner to buy me a mango from the market fast. After an hour, he came back with an iced drop,
“ Mangoes are really expensive now, this is all I could afford...mango flavored iced drop.”
I wanted to cry.
happy birthday! gosh...2 buwan lang ang tanda mo sa akin! tehihi! enjoy your day.

ReplyDelete"I just noticed we started blogging at the same month last year, July 2004!" -Watson
ReplyDeleteTechnically, that's true. I started blogging end of July 2004 with this blog being my test blog. In the header was written "My Heart Whispers" and it was an anthology of poems I give as examples to my students for their class digital anthology. I updated once a month, because I was focused in another blog, MY DIGITAL BOOK (www.teachersol.blog-city.com), my lifestory according to me from birth 'til present.
Then I got bored with the drama of my DIGITAL BOOK, I wanted something more interactive. Less than two months ago, I decided to change the title of the header of this blog, the layout, etc...and the poems were set aside in the links. This Teacher Sol blog was born, updated almost everyday except on weekends.
Many thanks to all of you, MY DEAR BLOGGER FRIENDS, for giving me more appetite to write. Your comments are very encouraging, and I learn a lot from your blogs too when I do my rounds (blog hopping).
Your birthday greetings are overwhelming. Proof that my blog is doing its job of... creating good friendship with fellow bloggers, being fun & interactive, imparting quality information through my entries, and most of all, being proactive and inspiring.
Let's countinue our symbiotic relationship of teaching and learning from each other. Thank you so much everyone!

ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Teacher Sol, present po! Kaya lang late and I don't have an excuse slip *sob* but HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY kahit belated, it still comes with the same degree of sincerity when I wish you all the best. Here's my simple birthday gift to you - a quotation that I have chosen especially for teachers like you:
ReplyDeleteOf all the wonderful things in the wonderful universe of God, nothing seems to me more surprising than the planting of a seed in the blank earth and the result thereof. ~ Celia Thaxter
Teaching is like planting these seeds. It may take many many birthdays - a long waiting time and lots of patience - before you see how bountiful your harvest will be, but that time will come. Again, happy birthday and my prayers for you, your family and your students.
Happy Birthday Sol! I wish to wish the wish you wish to wish :)

ReplyDeleteEVERYONE, I just read this now from the book The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren: "While it is wise to learn from experience, it is wiser to learn from the experiences of others".
ReplyDeleteI am 31 and still counting. I've learned from my triumphs and failures, from the ups and downs in my life. But I want to learn from all of you too. Hence I read your blogs. I learn fom the comments you leave here too. I invite you to share your thoughts here, let me know what you think of my entries. I invite you here, I hope I am welcome leave a message in your blog too.
"Father, I ask You to bless my sis who is celebrating her birthday. Show her a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to her spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give her Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Bless her home, family, finances, her goings and her comings, In Jesus' precious name".
ReplyDeleteAmen
Happy Birthday Sis!

Hope you had fun celebrating you bday sis. Yes, I am part of your cyberclass Teacher Sol!
ReplyDeleteReflecting on your post about Rick Warren's book, I have a quote that is enshrined in my little black book that I pick on every now and then.
" The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing."
-- John Powell
Belated Happy Bday Sis! More blessings and happiness always. I was so busy working on my thesis sister.baka nandyan na rin ako ng october sa california. Godbless!
ReplyDeleteHi Sol,
ReplyDeleteI was surfing this day, and of course i was oggling through your site and I was checking out some of your links as well as your past postings when i came about on your June 30 entry and it read 31...And Still Counting.
Gee, I could not believe I miss that day, and not being able to greet you. maybe it was those days when i wasnt online always.I am a little embarrassed. Hope you could excuse my unseeming oversight.
And so, since it was just barely about a month ago, let me me greet you HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the most famous teacher Ive ever known.
Yours truly,
Major Tom
