People with disabilities considered in disaster planning

Better planning is needed to accommodate people with disabilities during community emergencies, some advocates say. Such disaster planning requires people with disabilities to be identified, communicated with and cared for in adequately equipped shelters during emergencies, said Kenneth Willette, a Massachusetts fire chief.
