#DC #specialneeds #students are attending public schools more often

The number of Washington, D.C., students with disabilities who are being educated in private programs because their needs cannot be met in public schools has decreased roughly 20% since last year. The change is a result of more inclusion of students with disabilities and means lower costs for the city's public schools, but some advocates question whether the public schools have adequate resources to meet students' needs.
