Spec...Ms. Angala, thank you so much for your post. Special Education is bankrupting DCPS. I am a classroom teacher, so I have no expertise in special ed, but it is very clearly a problem. DCPS is not providing these children with a free and appropriate education, so when they are sued, they lose, and have to pay for the child to attend a private facility costing as much (or more) than $30K a year.
