DIGITAL BOOK

"My Life According To Me: A DIGITAL BOOK" :
a well written review of my weblog

"Reading through it from the beginning towards the most recent entries is like a breath of fresh air in summertime, and is similar to watching a flower bloom right before your eyes, from a seedling towards the very moment that it brandishes its buoyant petals."
- MAJOR TOM

"Everyone makes mistakes. Several times I did, but I always look back, reflect, and learn from those failures and mistakes. My DIGITAL BOOK, http://www.teachersol.blog-city.com/, was created because of a learning process. In my experiences of failing and the subsequent self-examination of all the reasons why the failure occurred, I have written a book about my life."

I have already visited your blog several times and I found your true to life experience so inspiring and enlightening. But it's only now ...that I realized I must thank you in return after reading Chapter3.

Chapter 3 Trials in Marriage - really enlightened me, I will finally forget my ideal man, and treasure every moment I have with the right man that God has blessed me.

May you continue to write...and continue to touch our hearts as a teacher, a friend ,a daughter, a mother , a wife and an achiever ...I salute you and your family!

Best Regards,
Liz

I really admired your writings, napakatotoo ng mga sulat mo, unlike other blogs if not to impress some where all hatred and complaints and no lessons learned.

To share with you what really touched my heart in your writings was forgetting our ideal man cause now we found the right man , I was teary eyed when I read your writings and didn't noticed it was 2 am already....

Once in a while I visit your blog while at work "commercial break muna" to ease from work stress. Maybe the main reason why your writings touched my heart because I have known you personally, you were a model student to us (lagi kang ipinagmamalaki ni Ma'am Asor sa class namin) Science teacher namin sya and she was your advicer then at tunay namang napakagagaling talaga ng batch ninyo.

You are really an achiever, madapa man babangon parin at titingalain -yan ang pinay.

When I have the time, I always open my inbox and the first thing I will try to see is anything from you. I really enjoy reading your write ups (blogs?) and to be honest, I consider myself as one of your fans.

I am Luis, working as Senior Medical Buyer for the Goverment of Qatar. I & my family will visit Washington DC in mid May 2006 and I would be very happy to meet you in person. I have high regards for teachers especially intelligent and dedicated ones like yourself. Keep writing and inspiring everyone. Happy New Year to you TEACHER SOL.

I went thru (just about) your entire work the past weekends (though the end is really no-where in sight, it seems).

However, it usually takes me a month (sometimes a year or more) to digest the major learning experiences in my life. (What can I say? It takes me a long time to process, so my period of reflection is often excessive). And unfortunately, I will only go thru this life once. ..... but what a journey to go through your web-journal. It's an amazing metamorphosis! I thought the transformation of a butterfly and a flower are the most beautiful thing in this world.

I also thought that super-woman was a fiction! Cinderella a fairy tale! But here they are, alive in you --- "Marisol!" You should publish your life story in print (books)... How does a wife who is also a mother and a teacher find the time to write and produce this much? You're definitely one of a kind! Where does someone like you come from?... You must have certainly come from above! It even intimidates me to write; but as you've said, ... "there's no perfect individual", ... just perfect intentions!

It's simply amazing ... no words can really describe your wonderful work. At only this stage in your life (still so young), it's almost mind boggling to think of what you will be able to accomplish in the years to come.

Your personal story is so touching and so moving. The way your work is written and packaged, it's alive and there's magic in it! Going through your work, is also like walking back in time, with so many similar circumstances and memories reminiscent of the past.

Well, what can I say ... Just follow your dreams with determination ... and don't let anything shake your moral foundation. I know that this is easy to say but hard to do. Certainly, it's one thing to write stuff like this. Hindsight always has 20-20. But given the pressures, fears, insecurities, uncertainties, and group intimidation at the time everything is caving in, it's terribly hard to stand past and buck the tide ... alone.

Stay grounded ... with your God and your Family (keep them your priority). Things can happen so fast especially in this complex society of the land of milk and honey ---.

Be on your guard! When push comes to shove, think independently. If you fail to do this, you'll lose your ethical compass somewhere between your longing to be ... and your desire to do what is right. And when inundated with choices, choose excellence, always choose God's way!

I will forever be appreciative of your beauty, talent, strength, courage, kindness, generosity, energy and spirit. It is refreshing to know of a true Filipina who takes the time to write and contemplate aspects of her life (that really matters), like sharing and teaching; like faith, hope, and love. Often times, especially migrants, are too busy making ends meet (and/or accumulating material possessions and/or competing) and don't have time to make sense of the world around them. God, family, and health take the back burner, only to have hard work, stress, and loneliness, take a toll on them. ... You seem to have the uncanny ability to process it all--- to the details, without missing the experience. Teacher Sol, thank you for the lessons. Thank you for setting a great example of a noble and balanced purpose in this world --- a notch above the rest!

With great appreciation and sincerity for your inspiring work, once again, maraming salamat po, for all that you do ...

Aloha,
NICK T (Not ready to be a blog factor!)

TO NICK T,

Thank you very much for the exquisite review of my blog. It was unsolicited and surprising, but I am very flattered that I want to post it as my entry now. I get impulsive when I'm excited I will always remember the words of wisdom that you gave here, especially BE ON GUARD, I think that is important. Thank you for going out of your way to read most of my entries and for writing a review about my DIGITAL BOOK. Your effort is greatly appreciated. I may not know you personally and may not be able to hear your own lifestory, but your words of wisdom and our few e-mail exchanges will always be remembered. Prolific writers like you are a blogger material. I would love to visit your site if you decide to create your own blog. I am very glad that my efforts do not remain unnoticed by readers like you who make writing more appetizing for me.

Hi Teacher sol,

Gandang umaga! I want to commend you for all the wonderful things that you do. I hope that more teachers will be part of the network. I have emailed the teachers in Laredo about PTN. Hopefully lahat sila magjoin. There's a wealth of experiences there too and karamihan sa kanila ay Special Ed teachers. By the way, salamat sa pagdalaw sa site ko. Do you know of teachers from Georgia. Wala pa kasi akong na-me-meet dito. Thanks.

I particularly liked that part when you discovered you were pregnant, and how you and Reiner made it through those hard times together. I am not really a lover of Filipino movies but I think your life story would be "Patok sa takilya" if ever Direk Joel Lamangan makes a full length out of it. He-he-he. Joke only. Seriously speaking though, I say your perseverance is to be emulated.
