Autism in the Movies


A thriller whose twist is to have an autistic boy as witness to a murder.
Dreyfuss is a reclusive psychiatrist who has lost his confidence after the accidental death of a child for which he was indicted though acquitted. Now estranged from his job and his wife he is reluctant to take up the case of an autistic boy who has witnessed the murder of his parents. But hearing how a colleague Dr. Harlinger (Lithgow) is treating the boy he takes up the job of explaining the boy to us and the court but is let down by the script.
