DJ protests with pj's

Stephanie Thomas, the ''PJ Deejay,'' works on a voice-over audition at Studio Center in Virginia Beach. (Stephanie Oberlander special to The Virginian-Pilot)

Virginia disc jockey Stephanie Thomas has worn pajamas to work, on dates and to church for almost a year to draw attention to the lack of comfortable clothing for those with disabilities. "They have ramps leading to malls," said Thomas, who was born without toes or a right thumb, "but once you get in the mall, there's nothing for you. There are designer clothes for pets, but not for people with disabilities." The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk-Portsmouth-Virginia Beach-Chesapeake)
