Sled hockey helps children build skills, confidence

Minnesota children with disabilities are increasingly competing in sled hockey, an adapted sport in which athletes use sleds and sticks to propel themselves around the ice. "Nobody (in the group) ever thought that their kids would be able to play hockey," said Geri-Anne Zubich, who founded the Minnesota Sled Hockey Association. "It's just an incredible game, the game of hockey, everyone should get to experience it." St. Paul Pioneer Press (Minn.)
