A genius with Asperger's sees numbers in shapes, sounds and colors

From the CEC Smart Brief:

"Prodigious savant" Daniel Tammet, who has Asperger syndrome, speaks seven languages, perceives words as colors and can recite pi to 22,514 decimal places. A documentary to be broadcast on Northern Ireland TV later this month chronicles how researchers are working with the 26-year-old to understand the fascinating ways in which his brain works.
