Proper diagnosis crucial for those with Fragile X

Today is Awareness Day for Fragile X syndrome, an inherited genetic condition associated with mental, physical and developmental disabilities. Although a DNA blood test can confirm the presence of the disorder with 99% certainty, many people with the condition never get diagnosed and thus don't receive critical intervention therapies.
