Philippine teachers need a boost

In an opinion piece, Evelyn Mejillano, national coordinator of an international mentoring program, says effective school reform in the Philippines will take place only when teacher quality is improved. She calls on Philippine teacher schools to join her group's teacher-mentoring program as way of combating the poor self-esteem plaguing the national teacher corps. INQ7.net (3/27)
