From the CEC Smart Brief:

More than two-thirds of gifted eighth-graders have suffered bullying at school, while 16% have bullied someone else, reports a Purdue University study in the current issue of Gifted Child Quarterly. Experts warn that very bright children who are teased, particularly in the trait or interest area where they are strong, can feel isolation, anger and despair. The Washington Monthly (5/2006)
