AUTISM: Autism "red flags" surface by age 2

Signs of autism spectrum disorder are detectable in children as young as 24 months, a study of 87 infants by the Kennedy Krieger Institute found. Lead author Dr. Rebecca Landa says earlier detection of the disorders allows earlier behavior interventions, which can make a tremendous difference in the lives of children with autism and their families.
