AUTISM: Father's age linked to risk of autism

From the CEC Smart Brief:

Children born to fathers aged 40 to 49 had a 5.75 times higher risk of autism, compared with that of children born to fathers aged 15 to 29, according to a new Archives of General Psychiatry study of than 132,000 children born in the 1980s. Researchers noted that their results pertained only to autism and could not necessarily be linked to related disorders such as Asperger's syndrome. The Times (London) (9/5)
