AUTISM: Autistic boy adjusts to mainstream class, wins bee

As Arizona works to get its 3,574 autistic children into traditional classrooms, fifth-grader Theo Vermaas adjusts well -- winning the class spelling bee this year. His teacher said she treats him like any other pupil and encourages his creative story telling. The Arizona Republic (Phoenix)
