Melinda Forehand

Melinda Forehand, a K-5 teacher of students with mild disabilities, says she looked to education as a second career because as a child she had special needs that were never identified. Forehand was a Florida rookie educator of the year and has since been named her elementary school's teacher of the year. Orlando Sentinel (Fla.)
