Special Olympics athletes return to cheers

Special Olympics bowler Matthew Drumright of Brentwood hugs Joanne Davis, the grandmother of Special Olympian, Morgan Smith, after the team returned from China.

As Tennessee athletes returned home from the Special Olympics World Summer Games in China, family and friends greeted them with cheers of "USA! USA! USA!" as well as a few tears. "It was pretty hard but it was all worth it," said runner Morgan Smith, 18, who won two medals: gold and bronze. "I said to myself: 'It doesn't matter what place I get.'
