Mississippi group seeks to improve autism awareness

Autism was still not commonly known when Ashley Markline, 14, was diagnosed, but an estimated 19,000 Mississippi children -- including Ashley's younger brother -- now have been diagnosed with the disorder. A May 24 Walk for Autism Awareness is intended to make state residents more aware of the disorder. The Sun (Lowell, Mass.)
