Teachers' words can last forever

When Deborah Hansen was in 5th grade, her confidence and love of reading were nearly destroyed by what she considered biting words from a teacher. She vowed to become a teacher herself and after 15 years in the classroom still tries to chose her words carefully, remembering the lasting impact they can have. Teacher Magazine
