I hope to see this happen here in DCPS. We need more effective teachers who can raise student achievement. We don't have to look everywhere. I believe we already have excellent teachers here in our classrooms. We already have teachers who can produce successful students given targeted professional development training, and given the proper support and enough resources. The National Board process is one of the keys, one of the solutions to our problem.
