Published January 01, 2009 12:08 am - The Guiness Book of World Records has accepted Bert Holbrook into its pages as the oldest living person with Down syndrome.
Bert Holbrook, 80, has set a new world record as the world's longest-living person with Down syndrome. Holbrook, who lives in a Minnesota group home, bested a British man who died in 2007 at 68, and a 74-year-old Tennessee woman. Most people with Down syndrome don't survive past 55.
