Teachers using RTI to detect learning problems early

Teachers nationwide are using a new method for discovering whether students have learning disabilities, writes teacher Cathy Estes in the Las Vegas Sun. The process, called Response to Intervention, is designed to discover a learning disability early by measuring a student's progress over time and offering additional support and intervention if necessary, she writes.
