Your Kapuso...Eto Na Po!

"Nobody can make you laugh the way GMA can. Through the years, the Kapuso Comedy shows have tickled your funny bones in a way no other network could."

Comcast REPORTS record-breaking demand for GMA Pinoy TV IN THE FIRST MONTH OF LAUNCH

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA (August 29, 2005) — In the first month since launching GMA Pinoy TV on August 1, Comcast Northern California has experienced the highest call volume-- and generated the most customer sales-- than in the first 30-days of launching any other international channel to date.

Comcast attributes the channel’s rapid success to the fact that many Filipino Americans recognize GMA Pinoy TV as the international channel of the most-watched Filipino network in the Philippines, and trust the network’s reputation for award-winning news and entertainment programming. In addition, Comcast and GMA Pinoy TV succeeded in generating “buzz” in the local Filipino community with wide-ranging promotions including a sold-out concert in San Francisco in July, newspaper ads in top Filipino publications, and direct mail postcards.

COMCAST LAUNCHES GMA PINOY TV IN LOS ANGELES

MANILA AND LOS ANGELES (AUGUST 19, 2005) — On September 15, 2005, Comcast-Los Angeles will start offering for subscription GMA Pinoy TV, the first 24/7 international channel of the #1 watched Filipino network in the Philippines.

This follows Comcast’s successful launch on August 1 of GMA Pinoy TV in the San Francisco Bay Area, where thousands signed up for the Filipino service within the first few days from launch.

Cute ng mga variety..But I hate to watch documentaries, talk shows or news
either...Eto,bihira kong mapanood..
I dunno ba..At night kasi, loaded ka na,manonood ka pa ng ganong news, lalong nakakapagod...My daughter watch them sometimes....I think I should pay extra attention on how can they learn Tagaloog...nakakaintindi,a little
but they don`t want to speak...sigh.*

If you're a DirecTV subscriber, you could sign-up for both TFC and GMA. I chose not to include GMA in my programming package. TFC has 6 channels while GMA only has 1. It would cost me $10 more per month to get GMA. It's just too expensive to spend that much for a single channel.

I never expected this.

The story you shared in my page makes me even more respectful of every people around me.

I learned that just one peson saying 'you made my day! really makes my day. That the best classroom in the internet is at the blog of Teacher Sol.That it is those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

LOL)

Again, thank you so much.

Hi Teacher Sol! There is also staunch dedication to TV channels here. If you prefer channel 2, then you are a kapamilya. If you like 7, then you are a kapuso. So kapuso ka po. Darna is being shown here, I hope it is also being shown there so kids not here in the Philippines can get acquainted with a local pop icon :-)
