AUTISM: Eradication not the way to deal with autism

Dave Spicer, the father of a son with autism and a person with autism himself, disagrees with "well-intended" individuals who say autism needs to be conquered and cured. If autism and quality of life are seen as mutually exclusive, he argues, society will never recognize the contributions people with autism can make nor their right to live satisfying lives.
