Longtime special educator to lead Baltimore schools


Andres Alonso, a Cuban immigrant who left a high-paying job as a Wall Street lawyer to teach special education, will become the next Baltimore public schools' chief executive. Alonso, who is wowing Baltimore educators and residents, is a New York City deputy chancellor for instruction.
