The county has 1,000 vacancies to fill by mid-August, and it recently hired a marketing firm and launched a Web site to boost recruitment.

I came to DC Public Schools the same way in October 2003. Now, after four years, I not only survived but thrived. Yes, tough times never last but tough people do. I wrote my reflections on my class website hoping that newbie teachers may learn something from my experience.

i really find your blog interesting and informative. my son was diagnosed with mild autism when he was 3.4 yrs old, since then i resigned as a banker and devote my time to him. next year, im planning to study special education in manila but im not yet decided on what school. i think i have a calling. and i find so much interest in teaching special children since i enjoy so much being with them. what school would you recommend? thanks.
