ADHD study should not imply all will age out of disorder

A recent brain-imaging study that tied ADHD to delayed brain development does not mean that all children will eventually grow out of the disorder, said Russell A. Barkley, a clinical professor of psychiatry who led the study. Just 14% to 35% of children with ADHD overcome symptoms by age 27, his own work has showed. Education Week
