S.C. district ends bonuses for nationally certified teachers

A South Carolina school board has voted to end its $3,000 yearly bonus for district educators with national certification, due to a fiscal crunch. "This is not intended to be a negative statement about national board certification," said superintendent Keith Callicutt. "We are extremely proud of our national board-certified teachers." The Herald (Rock Hill, S.C.)
