Schools step up efforts to protect teachers from student violence

While official data show a drop in violence against teachers, several high-profile cases and concerns of underreporting are driving many U.S. schools to add security, better train educators to defuse aggressive students and improve reporting. "Are the numbers going down, or is reporting going down? There's a huge difference between the two," said Kenneth S. Trump, National School Safety and Security Services president.
