Camp lets children on ventilators "just be kids"

A free Ohio summer camp for children who rely on ventilators allows six- to 18-year-olds with complicated medical issues to explore nature, ride horses, swim and play. "We try to let the campers do things that they otherwise wouldn't be able to do," said Diane Jereb, co-director of Fresh Air Camp. "This is a place where they can get to just be kids."
