Maryland to scale back oversight of Baltimore special education

The head of a controversial Maryland team hired to manage Baltimore special education has retired and will not be replaced. Serious special education problems remain, though the system has caught up on a backlog of special services, according to this analysis. The Sun (Baltimore)
