Two failing Florida schools earn A grades

Teachers at Florida's Lincoln Elementary School planned lessons and took professional-development training through summer last year, and this year offered students before-school and weekend tutoring. Their hard work paid off: Students scored high enough this year on the state's standardized test to earn the previously failing school an A. Meanwhile, a West Palm Beach charter high school also avoided shutdown by turning its F into an A. The Palm Beach Post
