Southern district looks abroad to fill teaching vacancies

After The Washington Post's story, The New York Times has something on the Filipino teachers. And CNN's story is coming up too.

A rural Alabama school system last year hired a dozen Filipino teachers for hard-to-fill jobs like special education, math and science, raising some concerns in the mostly white community. But students have quickly become staunch defenders of their foreign-born teachers. The New York Times/Associated Press
