Special educator wins Arc lifetime achievement award

A special education teacher recently received the Edith Davis Lifetime Achievement Award from The Arc of Arizona for her work with students with developmental disabilities. Rita Ponzo, a National Board Certified teacher, has about 30 years of teaching experience and said she continues working with students with special needs because she knows she is making a difference in their lives.
