Teachers turning to parents for help buying supplies

Teachers are more frequently turning to parents and community organizations to help provide basic items for students, such as dictionaries and magazines. Donations are supplementing money lost due to state and national budget cuts, but PTAs say that parents have less to give even as the need grows. The Wall Street Journal
