Mont. teen aims to be first Miss America with autism

Alexis Wineman, the reigning Miss Montana, hopes to be the first Miss America with autism when she competes in the televised pageant this weekend. Diagnosed at age 11, Wineman, now 18, has spent the past six months promoting autism awareness in her current role and hopes to do that on a national scale by becoming a finalist. Disability Scoop

I saw something on the news about this a few months along but didn't really pay much attention at the time. I think it is great that this girl is doing this. She is a great role model for other individuals with disabilities and proves that anybody can do or be anything they want as long as they work hard for it.
