Your new found friend...

Hi! Maria Lourdes,

I was just checking my email and browsing through my SMS account today when I saw your name and picture on the lower right side of the page. I was curious ('cause I’m new to the site) so I clicked and browsed over your profile. My attention was caught up on the link to your DIGITAL BOOK. As I was browsing through the entire page including every links you have, I was reminded by a story:

A young man one day visited the seashore. On that day, he saw a big volume of star fish just along the shore dumped in by the big waves of the sea. The young man, upon seeing the struggle of the creatures back to their habitat, took the effort of helping the creatures by putting them back in the water one by one. An hour later, an old man passed by and saw what the young man was trying to do. He said, “You can’t help them all, and you’re just wasting your time, it's impossible! There are millions of them and you’re doing it alone!". The young man looked back to the old man and said, “I may not be able to save the whole world but at least with this simple act of kindness to these poor creatures I made a difference”.

You and many other unseen mentors trying to bring balance in this troubled world are the real heroes. I commend you for all your effort. I once took the path of becoming an educator but I was just in my third year when I decided to stop. Perhaps it was because I did not fully realize the very essence of the field that I was taking or perhaps it was because I allowed my mind to focus on something else. A dream of building a school with an extraordinary educational system was one of the strongest factors that drove me to take the field of education.

There was some kind of energy that connected the thoughts in my mind directly into my heart as I was reading and pondering on the messages you’ve written. Perhaps to many other readers who came before me, it was just simply words written electronically. I don’t know if I sound over-reacting… but for me, those are live words with real and deep meaning.

May I say that it’s never too late to rebuild my dreams again.

Your new found friend,
AJ

Salamat AJ.

"I may not be able to save the world but at least with this simple act of kindness to these poor creatures I made a difference".

Thank you for letting me know that I touched your life with the littlest things I do. Tama ka, it's never too late to rebuild your dreams again.

I will just be an email away...

Your new friend,
Teacher Sol

I'm just amazed how youre keeping your cool all this time with everything happening around blogosphere. Just wanted to share with you that in my life I have been humilated and treated beyond imagination but I've never really lost hope. I didn't see myself as a failure (because I wasn't in the first place) I just acted like nothing happened, this the very reason ewhy I am what I am now ;-) wala bagang grudge..so I can live my life happy. Cheers to us sol. Have a nice one tomorrow and for the rest of the week..

Hi Sol. A.J.'s story is truly inspiring, like a parable of hope and salvation, where one may not be a superhero and save all mankind, but by merely helping in a small way, one becomes a hero nevertheless.

HONEYPOOH, that's the spirit girl! You may look frail but your heart is really tough. I admire you too for that!

RAY D., walang bayad ang website na ito, free. Hindi ko naman kayang bayaran yung mga weblogs na ginawa ko kung may bayad ito. You can create your own in www.blogger.com. Malapit ka lang pala sa akin, sana magkita tayo one of these days.

MAJOR TOM, we don't need to have superpowers to be superheroes. All we need is strength in character. There will always be superheroes in ordinary people. And I hunt them and recognize them here in my blog. They need to be emulated by us.

FLEX J, :D Salamat sa aking bagong kaibigan for sharing this story, may bago rin akong natutunan sa kanya...

Ma'm,

Thank you for visiting my site. I've been a constant visitor of your page but this is the first time to a comment here. Perhaps, I am awed by your achivements.

Anyhow, this post reminds me of the story of Mrs Thompson and Dr. Teddy Stoddard MD. Dr Stoddard is a doctor at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines that has the Stoddard Cancer Wing.

Me, being a student once, I would like to repeat what Dr Stoddard said to Mrs Thompson "Thank you Ma'm for believing in me. Thank you so much for making me feel important and showing me that I could make a difference."

That's why they say teaching is a noble profession. (And that's who you are.)

Hi MARISOL, kamusta? it was one boring night that i can't go back to sleep dahil my husband was called to work due to an emergency at work, that i decided to surf on the net. I love reading inquirer, then i started reading your blogs from bottom to top. It was really good, brought smiles and tears to my eyes, siguro tipikal pinoy pa rin ako, very sentimental. I am very happy for you.

I went to sleep that night with a smile and believing in "hapilly ever after stories". Take care,

P.S.

we live in the caribbean, we've got no yatch to invite you to but we got everyday heavenly views of the caribbean seas, cruiseships, yatchs and palms.
