Last night, we attended the Fond Farewell Party for Ambassador Albert del Rosario and Mrs. Gretchen del Rosario. My kababayan, Froilan V. Tiglao and I had a chance to take a picture with our Ambassador.
Below is a message for our Ambassador from the Pinoy Teachers Network:
On behalf of the Filipino teachers, The Pinoy Teachers Network (http://www.pinoyteachersnetwork.blog-city.com/) members would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for all the help and support extended by the Ambassador and Mrs. del Rosario to the Filipino teachers during their period of adjustment in this new environment.
The WINTER DRIVE (click here) initiated by Mrs. Gretchen del Rosario, last fall 2005 for the 80 new Filipino teachers in Maryland, which brought together the FilAm Community in the Metro DC area to contribute to this noble goal, helped us survive the biting winter cold. The Ambassador and his wife personally assisted us with our needs and gave their full support and gave us empowerment during the initial stage of our global Filipino teachers' support network.
Because of all these we are truly grateful. Ambassador del Rosario, you are an exemplary diplomat; we will miss you.
Respectfully yours,
MARISOL ANGALA
Director, Pinoy Teachers Network
