Toddler paralyzed in crash found new home with her nurse

Paralyzed as a toddler and adopted by her pediatric nurse, Mia DiRaimo, 24, will next month start a University of Rhode Island graduate program in hopes that advanced education will allow her to at last find a company willing to hire her. "She never lets anything stop her," said close friend Veronica Bruscini. "If somebody tells her she can't do something, she'll make it her mission to prove them wrong." The Providence Journal (R.I.)
